What is faith?
Oh, what is it that they say?
A trust, a confidence, a belief
In someone or maybe in something
Without proof, without certainty
A “leap of faith” holds no guarantees
So then what is love?
Is it ever enough?
How does it burn
How does it feel
To have faith in the one you love
When you’re not so sure that Love is real?
And love
Well, it’s said to conquer all
It lives inside “the one”
And it tempts you to fall
But I have found the very edge
Of the berth that I can give
The limit of tears I can shed
The lies I’m unwilling to live
And finally, after so very long
I’ve discovered that my faith in love is gone
